To W/P from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} continued Re Chassis B.260.GA 15.6.37 3. The engine was erected filled with oil run five minutes in the Shop then sent out for 100 miles steady run. An oil consumption of over 1800 M.P.G was obtained. Upon returning, the cylinder head was checked for tightness, tappets etc gone over, front axle controls tightened up and reset. General tune up. A further 100 miles fast run was taken, no oil being added. The consumption for the 200 miles run was 918 M.P.G. The final report. Engine free, smooth, no smoke, good for power and acceleration.
