X4589 c. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} EFC1/T. 10th July, 1923. The British Lighting & Ignition Co.Ltd., B.L.I.C. Works, Cheston Road, Aston, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, With reference to your telephone message of this morning stating that the 'Z' Le Carbone Brushes on our 20 HP. generator sent to you appear unsatisfactory for the particular purpose of your Voltage Controller and our answer to your query to the effect that we should have no objection to your employing some softer grade of brush which you consider more suitable for the purpose, we have now looked over our brush stocks and regret that it would be impossible for us to let you have any H.M.6 Morganite brushes at the moment, as we only have a limited number of these remaining, all ofwhich we require for our own tests. We have, however, quite a number of L.F.C.3.b. Le Carbone Brushes which are of entirely similar quality, and we are sending herewith four of these brushes for you to use or not, as you desire. These particular brushes were delivered to us with flexibles and beads of much too large diameter. We have removed the latter and no doubt you will be able to arrange suitable pigtail insulation for your test, if necessary. Contd. | ||
