RE. LORRAINE DEITREICH X.3588

What are the agreed virtues and faults of this car i.e. :-

(1) Is it powerful beyond what you would expect from high gear and noisy exhaust?

(2) Will it pull and carburate well all through the speeds?

(3) We are usually too low geared for max. speed, so a higher geared car with suitable changing of gear (racing driving) would give more speed and power, but not such a good top gear average speed over an English luffing up road.

(4) Crankshaft periods with the high gear you would not expect to reach master period, but half and third maximum should be felt if no damper is used.

(5) E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} wishes to know if they have larger valves what sacrifice they have made to get them in.

Is there an 8-cyl. car that you would like to obtain: some I hear are woolly and useless, such as the Isotta Fraschini?
