By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}19/KT.19.5.33. X258 BENTLEY WEIGHTS. As discussed with you on your recent visit, we are somewhat concerned with the weights of the running-boards on the Bentley car. These weigh 30 lbs. each. We should be interested to know if you can get ParkWards! to produce something much lighter which would do the job. The chassis is being carefully scrutinised, and we are getting a pound of weight off here and there, but we think you have a better chance with the running-boards than we have with our own pieces.
