R telegram - Try letter C.I. suggest cold steel filling. Try other material such as... [Entry 85] R - Filled. Try other material such as 8-7-14 (85) * length of more axial length of drum & linings. (He means circumferential) a {Mr Adams} /c to shaft. ** Improve positioning of actuating shaft o {Mr Oldham} /c to obtain more circumferential contact. C.I. has been examined. Not so effective, quieter but not v. {VIENNA} powerful. linings lined with C.I. V.good surface, poor locking. Drums became v. {VIENNA} hot (thro warped). V successful Die pressed liners showed superior. Now when fitted to (car...) Drums (only) leads to expansion...
