LONDON. W.1.

Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your two twin choke carburetters for which we thank you.

We think Type 105 D.C. will be the most suitable for our tests consequently we are having a suitable induction pipe prepared to take this model.

It is understood that these carburetters are only samples and probably not suited - with regard jet sizes etc. - for our tests. Therefore, when we have completed our induction pipe we will return these carburetters to you and ask you to supply us with Model 105 D.C. having approx. correct jets, chokes, etc.

For your guide we give you the following particulars of our engine.

Bore x Stroke 3.25 x 4.5.

Power peak at 3000 to 3250 R.P.M.

High low speed torque is desired.

The induction system will be of the simple two branch type, each branch feeding three cylinders. The risers will be short bringing the carburetter close to the main distributing pipe. An efficient exhaust heated hot spot will be incorporated at the junction of the risers and main distributing pipe.

When we have reached the testing stage we no doubt shall be pleased to have the assistance of one of your experts.

We are,
Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
