1001? Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 26th February, 1938. C.L. Breedon, Esq., Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, BIRMINGHAM.1. Dear Mr. Breedon, I must apologise for not being able to get over to your Factory yesterday. I will, however, come over as soon as I can. I was very interested to hear from Leslie what a nice factory you have. Regarding the door locks, we are in rather a difficult position in respect to these, because they are going on a new experimental car which is wanted in a hurry. We can send you complete drawings of the doors, which will be accurate, and as soon as the car is finished we can let your people fit the locks, but we should not like to finish the car and then have the locks measured up and have to wait two or three weeks for locks. You will possibly understand the situation. Unless we hear from you to the contrary, we will send you as many drawing particulars as possible of the doors and pillars, and if you require any further information, we shall be only too glad to supply it. It is very good of you to give us the chance of getting on these door locks in the early stages. Incidentally, as we presume you will be putting through a small experimental batch, we should, if possible, like sufficient to equip three cars. Yours sincerely, | ||
