X6025 Ox/Hdy{William Hardy}6/MJV.24.11.30. S&W (EFC) re Two-note horn. we have been trying to obtain an English made two-note horn, the tone of one note to be as effective as our present Klaxon horn, with the other tone similar to the low note of the Bosch horn. Messrs. Klaxon have just submitted to us their latest two-tone horn and this has been tried and turned down by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} because the low tone is too low to be of any use and the high tone too much like the note of the horns one hears on the average American car. Additionally, its penetrative powers are insufficient for fast country use. If you can spare the time, we should like you to see this sample horn and ascertain if it is at all possible for the notes we require to be obtained from this horn, by carrying out essential modifications. If you can do this, we will send the sample horn to you. Please do not hesitate to say if you are too busy to tackle the job. Hdy.{William Hardy} | ||
