2006? 446 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.6/MH.{M. Huckerby} 15th.September 1937. Messrs. The Projectile & Engineering Co. Ltd., Acre St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, Battersea, London. S.W.8. Dear Sirs, Thank you for the six torque arms FB.2924, which have all now been received. We were quite pleased with the finish of the first four, but would not like the finish to be any inferior. We are now making comparison tests between those arc welded and those carbon arc welded, and will let you have the results in the near future. In order to reduce weight we want to test some torque arms FB.2924 produced in .080" (14.SWG.) material. Will you please therefore, produce six more torque arms in this material. We are arranging for the six inserts FB.2925 to be produced, and also for a covering order to be sent to you. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS - ROYCE LTD. | ||
