Re: Petrol Tanks and Service.
------------------------

I am given to understand that for future cars, we are going to have three different types of Petrol Tanks:

16 gall. for B.V
22 " " B.50
19¾ " " Sleator Continental.

The present trend of design is to simplify units so that we do not have to manufacture and service so many different types. Can this not be applied to Petrol Tanks? This could be cut down to two types which for service work means two instrument dials and tank units, instead of three, also there is always the customers who take a fancy to a car, then find they want the larger tank capacity, which means considerable expense to fit.

I believe a little thought in this direction will be a big saving in the servicing of cars.
