indicate that further investigation should be in the direction of a new grade of brush, possibly one of the graphitic class, and an increased bevel of about 30°, together with the special type of spring and a suitable spring pressure. In the meanwhile Production will look to the surfaces of the commutators, and the insides of the brushholders as means of quietening the brushes.
