Smith} Battery (180). This battery run 14,767 miles on the road. On bench tests it has given poor results. Low Rate Discharge through an invariable external resistance of 1.80w 34.9 ampere hours were realised. All cells shewed positive weakness. High Rate Discharge through a constant external resistance of .100w. Initial amperes = 102.5 Time to 100 " = 3 mins " " 90 " = 4.4 " " " 80 " = 10.4 " All the Exide cells shewed positive weakness & the P&R negative weakness. The Exide cells fitted with threaded Rubber Separators shew more signs of deterioration & high resistance the Std Exide & all were worse than the P&R.{Sir Henry Royce} Signed: G.J. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
