ORDERING ROAD SPRINGS.

Now that RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} is building Wraiths at the rate of 40 per week it is imperative to carry bigger stocks of rear road springs, otherwise the erection line will be held up.

If we carry twice as big a stock of springs as we do now, then the surplus stock at the end of a series will be nearly double. This stock is not scrap unless the chassis then goes off production. Even if we do have more scrap, it is the price we pay for the economies effected by mass-producing Wraiths and at the same time catering for customers' requirements.

We strongly recommend that we shall carry bigger stocks so as to be more free of the perpetual worry over spring supplies, and when it is obvious that a batch of light (or heavy) poundage springs will not be used up, then some of them should immediately be returned to the makers to be modified so as to save some of the loss that would otherwise occur.
