OIL ADJUSTED TAPPETS FOR THE PHANTOM ENGINE:

We give below the specification of the double valve springs which we find necessary for the large inlet valves on this engine :-

DOUBLE TAPER SPRINGS.

Outer Springs Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}664. Free length 2.75".
Load when compressed to 2" = 75 lbs.
" " " to 1.5" = 130 lbs.

Inner Springs Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}665. Free length 2.2".
Load when compressed to 2" = 7 lbs.
" " " to 1.5" = 30 lbs.
