Dear Sirs, You will remember some time ago that the undersigned discussed with you the question of a head lamp foot switch for use on our chassis, which would operate with double filament lamp bulbs where a fuse was inserted in each head lamp circuit. The ordinary type of foot switch is not suitable for this work and the alternative to making a new switch was to use two single way foot switches coupled together. This scheme does not appear to be practicable at the moment and we are therefore sending you the attached drawing RR.Sch.998, which shows a design we have produced for a single switch unit having five terminals which will deal with the problem. We might point out that this type of switch will be necessary when we standardize the new Lucas Head Lamp you have produced for us and is already required on our latest chassis where Marchal lamps are used. We should be much obliged if you will examine this drawing and let us know:- (a) Whether you could produce a switch more or less to the design shown, and how much the same would cost in quantities of 500.? (b) Have you an alternative switch you could offer us to meet our requirements.? continued. | ||
