3) He criticised strongly the position of the gear and brake levers. He said they were badly placed and thought that the only way we could get over this was to supply a central gear change; he did not think that that would interfere with the selling of the Bentley.

4) With regard to speed, Mr. Follett said he did not get more than 83 m.p.h. but probably this was due to a slight head wind. I pointed out that this was most unusual and I hoped that at some time when he could spare the time we could show him an easy 90 m.p.h. He said this did not interest him - he was never a maximum speed driver.
