(1) Hyman will instruct new exhaust manifolds on the lines of the Bentley for the Phantom lll, and will carry on with exhaust tests on 33-FX. (2) Leslie will go into the question of camping the frame noise by filling the frame with any sound absorbing medium. (3) Ll. Smith will instruct some Phantom lll valve springs on the same lines as the P.T. Bentley springs which have proved so successful. What about plain carbon springs? (4) Matthews will investigate where the additional weight on the Aerolite pistons comes from. (5) Salt will push on with the Chevrolet pipe for the 20/25 using the exhaust as inlet ports at the same time as tests go forward on the Graham pipes. (6) Leslie will issue a report on roll rod bearings. (7) Grylls will report as to whether anything can be done with regard to plating, hardening, or "what have you" to improve wheel drivers. (8) Leslie will get out a programme of what he is proposing to do to improve shock absorber bearings. (9) Hyman will report on the roughness periods, etc. on the narrow pin crank unit before it is removed from the car. He will also follow up the scheme for balancing flywheels for the E.O.
