For the attention of Mr. Ratcliffe See me. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Dear Sirs, DC.42 Carburetter with thick Strangler Flap. ------------------------- This is to advise you that we have despatched to you, marked for the attention of Mr. Ratcliffe, DC.42 carburetter No.4545X. This is the carburetter which we altered to incorporate a 2mm. thick strangler flap to overcome your trouble of sticking of the strangler flap on the occasion of a blow-back. It has already been your possession but was returned to us at our request in order that we might reverse the poppet valve and also fit the stop pin for the fully open position. This has been done and we shall be glad to have your comments at your convenience. We should like to say that when the carburetter was received by us from you, it was not fitted with the setting with which it was originally sent out, but we have not altered that setting. At the moment it conforms neither to the "Wraith" setting or to the 25/30 h.p. setting. Yours faithfully, THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. LTD. A L Palmer AEP/GC | ||
