Re Insulation Testing (cont'd).
II Block, includes ebonite, vulcanite and various fibres & proprietary moulded compositions. Also, steatite porcelain &c.
(a) Moulded material.
(1) Observe finish, whether friction or lacquer. Test mechanical properties, break, drill, cut &c.
(2) Heat in oven until change occurs, observe whether softening, cracking, warping &c and temp. Note any permanent effects.
(3) Heat moderately & test breakdown.
