20/25 HP. CHASSIS - BATTERY.

With reference to the standardisation sheets X.6053 which have now been signed up in connection with the proposal to supply with production chassis Exide and P. & R.{Sir Henry Royce} batteries with standard size plates, the question now arises as to whether the battery box and suspension scheme for these batteries should be suitable for the crossmember in its present position or whether they should be suitable for the battery cross member which is moved back to enable wider foot wells to be fitted, in accordance with EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}S.114, therefore before we ask Sales to let us know if and when they wish the latter scheme to be introduced on production, we would first of all like to know if you are in a position to standardise the scheme.
