My dear Kennington,

You will no doubt be wondering how our tests are proceeding with the Bentley distributors.

All 4 distributors are now fitted to cars and up to date are running quite successfully.

I was very interested in what you told me some time ago regarding sparking plug gaps, and I understand that you have a Vauxhall car running about with sparking plug gaps approximately .062" wide.

Mr. Elliot and I wondered whether you would be good enough to run over here to Derby, and demonstrate to us these large plug gaps fitted, one day next week, and arranging to have lunch together afterwards.

You will be interested to know that I am working in with Stockbridge regarding testing of the Sinterkorund sparking plugs for aero engines.

Yours very sincerely,
