WHEN REPLYING PLEASE REFER TO X/R3 23rd.October,1931. Dear Sirs, For the Attention of Mr.West. We thank you for your telegram received this morning addressed for the attention of the undersigned with further reference to the matter discussed at the Show, of a sample new type Dual Arm Windscreen Wiper which it was suggested might be got in time to be fitted to the test car which you are sending over to France next week for a long mileage endurance test. The undersigned went into this matter on returning from Olympia yesterday, and regrets to find the position is not quite so forward in the Factory as he had hoped. We are afraid it is quite impossible to get away to you a sample this week and at the moment it is more or less impossible to say quite when one will be available. We would very much like you to have one as this would be a splendid opportunity of giving the Wiper an exacting endurance test, but on the other hand it is no use rushing something through and letting you have a sample with which we should not be satisfied and which would get us no-where if it was not a proper model, as would be supplied to you in production. We are going into the matter further with Dr.Turner during to-day and in the course of a few posts we will advise you when it is likely we shall be in a position to let you have a sample, but it certainly looks as though it will be impossible to get one through in time for the car which we understand will be leaving next week. | ||
