PH. III 3 AZ 150 LORD ROSEDURY.

COMPLAINT OF BRAKES - MOANING WHEN HOT.

On investigation of complaint referred to under memo BY/BK.{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager}3/W.21.12.36, - it is possible, but only when parts are not to drawing.

An isolated case has been found on Production, where the Distance Piece seized in the bearing cap nut, due to the bore of cap nut not being concentric with the thread.

Drawings have been altered to read "Thread to be concentric with bore within .002." Distance piece reduced .005 dia.

A proof gauge is being supplied to Mr. Roscow to try each hub on assembly. Inspn. Dept. notified to tighten up the job.

This should eliminate future trouble.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} Hollingworth.
