W.A. Robotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd,
Derby.

Dear Robotham,

We should like to have about a dozen more tappets to chromium plate. We have six which we are doing now, but in our opinion it will probably be necessary to do a further experimental lot after these six.

On the ones that stood up best in the first test. the chromium was about two thou: thick. We are proposing to make the next lot about four thou: but it may be necessary to get thicker than this before they are satisfactory.

With regard to the stabilser bumper. I do not know what price Morris' pay, but as far as our own price is concerned, in view of the fact that we are the patentees, we are working under special terms, so that I do not think I should be justified in telling you this without Breeden's consent, and in any event it would not be a true guide.

I will speak to Breeden, find out what he is quoting you, and if it is too high endeavour to persuade him to reduce it.

I should like to get the steering right on your car. Generally speaking, it is rather good at high speed on our cars and I see no reason why it should not be right on your's.
