Phantom III.

In view of the satisfactory results we have obtained with water heated hot spots up to the present, will you please carry out the following.

Modifications in design on the 4-port head to include the necessary alteration for water heat, thus deleting the exhaust passage which runs through the head, which for water heat may be some help in improved water spacing.

Although the standard water hot spot is interchangeable with the exhaust type, the water feed pipes can only be connected up by a mock-up. Will you please incorporate the necessary unions for water feed.

Though we have only had an initial run with exhaust heat there appears to be a considerable amount of development work to produce this to a production state. The two bi-metal strips housed one in each manifold must be synchronised to maintain consistent temperature in the hot spot box.
