X1133 To PN.{Mr Northey} Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}) from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. for. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} E.3/HP.25.5.33. re Bonnet Stops. ----------- Replying to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW.22.5.33 and PN.{Mr Northey}2/WT.23.5.33, we have in hand at the moment a scheme for dealing with this question of damaged bonnets, but it has not progressed sufficiently far for us to say that it is a practicable solution. We are assuming that the necessary linkage for controlling the bonnet can be attached by bolts passing through the bonnet panels, as per our discussion with PN.{Mr Northey} The heads of these bolts would appear on the outside surface of the bonnet panels, and would be of a very flat button shape. These bolts could be removed to facilitate painting and the heads would be finished the same colour as the bonnet. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
