| COPY. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} - from BJ. BJ5/M23-6-26. With reference to our conference last night, will you kindly consult with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, and inform me whether you consider the best way of dealing with complaints of steering vibrations, will be as follows:- (a) On cars which are easy for us to get at in future, we should only fit the new spring to steering tube. It seems probable that a number of customers would be quite satisfied by the new spring, but if later it was found this was insufficient to satisfy them, we could then fit the worm. (b) On cars which are going abroad, or would be difficult to get at, we should also include the new worm and stay to steering column. BJ. | ||
