Gentlemen, Re Lighting & Starting Batteries. We are in receipt of your letter of the 24th inst., with reference to the above. We beg to inform you that the terminal cones are being sent off to you under separate cover also 14 rubber vent stoppers, and we trust they will arrive safely. We regret the omission. With regard to the filler holes and vents of these batteries, we explained to you in our previous letter that we had new patent vents that would be incorporated in all future batteries supplied. This vent is of a larger diameter enabling one to easily see the acid level, and at the same time screws in very easily and tightly, but at the time we sent your batteries these vents were unfortunately not ready and we did not care to hold them back until such time as the vents were ready.
