Steering improvements, wheel shimmy, side steering tube springs, and new adjustable dampers.

| To OY. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} We are glad to hear you find the wheels further out from centre point a steering improvement. We have had a number of American owners over here during the summer, they seem to think that the American Phantom does shimmy after it has been in use for some time. We have always wondered how you avoided the trouble with such stiff side steering tube springs. We feel that if you go to smaller wheels, your steering troubles will increase. We hope, therefore, that you will make specially comprehensive tests for wobbles etc. We think that really you will find side steering tube springs of 2000 lbs/1" the best compromise all things considered. You will have seen the new schemes for the adjustable front and rear dampers N.sch. 2651 etc. We believe that in these dampers we have the best that can be done in the way of shock absorbers and are therefore pushing on with them.
