Samples of Lodge standard Plugs and also water-proof models were obtained E237/14 last year and a preliminary report was issued by Mr Hives in January, in which it was suggested that a more extended test be made. This was agreed to by Mr Royce.

Larger quantities were therefore obtained and we attach herewith Mr Hives' report.

With reference to the Bosch Plugs, samples of these were handed to the Exp. Dept. on 20/10/13 because we had considerable difficulty in obtaining the old 4 point pattern from the Bosch Co., the 3 point design being they considered better.

A preliminary report was issued by Mr Hives on January 5th/14 and they were run for 5000 miles without trouble on the 10,000 mile engine bench test.

Details of several lenghty road tests are given in the attached report.
