No.2.

We do not propose immediately to make this change but would prefer to wait for your quotation and date of delivery for the above equipment. The change will involve moving the small Universal Unit and its 40 H.P. dynamo and control panel etc. to No.31 bed and the substitution in its place of the third Exe single cylinder unit. We want also to include in the same test house two blowers and motors for the supply of boost air to these three units and we think this can be done if you shorten the blower drive, as suggested in an earlier note.

Before the small Universal Unit can be moved across into No.31 bed it will be necessary to provide alternative accommodation for the tackle which is at present stored there. We think at this stage it may be possible to store this neatly at the Experimental Shop end of the test house because the small Universal Unit and its motor will be occupying less than half the length of the bed plate.
