1270 Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std18/R. 23rd June 1937. Messrs. John Marston Ltd., WOLVERHAMPTON. For the attention of Mr. Dunn. Dear Sirs, As mentioned in our telephone conversation, the Writer would like to discuss with Mr. Dunn the question of loss in heat dissipation with the lightened construction Mark VI core and test which can usefully be made in connection with same. We should like to discuss the Bentley dummy shutter set which you have sent us (one shutter has already become detached from stiffener) and will also endeavour to bring drawings of our new 25/30 H.P. radiator, for which you will remember you wished to give us a quotation - a certain amount of discussion in connection with this job will probably also be necessary. Finally, we have some spot welding on an experimental 25/30 radiator of the new type which we would like you to do for us - it consists of welding pieces EW.1192 and EW.1198 to the yoke piece EW.1157 as shown on drawing Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 1157. If you can manage to do this while the Writer is at your Works it would be appreciated. A further point which we wish to go into is the re-conditioning of Phantom III Mark V. {VIENNA} matrices - quantities and rates which can be handled, etc. If convenient the Writer will call at your Works at, approx. 11.0. a.m. Friday next, the 25th inst. If this is inconvenient will you please 'phone the Writer and make another arrangement. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
