Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} X4117. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/SBS/KW23.10.29. Chassis No. 99-WR. Hague. Reference: C10/C22.10.29. This is to confirm the arrangements already made to deal with the springing complaint on Mr. Hague's car in a similar manner to that carried out on Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car as referred to in the above-mentioned memo. The ends of the leaves of the rear springs have been carefully blued and all the hard markings removed so as to reduce the interleaf friction and prevent digging in. They have afterwards been cadmium plated and well oiled. If after fitting the above we find that the springing is still unsatisfactory, the shock dampers are to be exchanged for another set which we have already handed to you for modification similar to those you recently fitted to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s. car. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} | ||
