-TEMPERATURE-TESTS.

Though no trouble has been experienced with present standard production condensers, it is thought that the results recorded below are of sufficient interest to collect together in the form of a report.

The general method of the tests was as described in the first report, and the method of observing capacities as detailed in the second report. In the meantime, it having been ascertained that the maximum possible temperature of a condenser on the chassis was in the neighbourhood of 70°C, the temperatures to which the condensers have been taken in the tests do not exceed 75°C.

The condensers upon which the results now recorded were made, were in groups as follows :-

Group 1. (See curves sheets C & H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints})

ICL & ICJ. These are representative of the present standard except that the connecting strips were wrapped in the tin foil of the condenser - an idea for the improvement of the connection.

Bc condenser - sealed at the ends with Elc synthetic varnish - otherwise standard.

Bs{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} condenser - sealed at the ends with Stickiline varnish - otherwise standard.
