Messrs. The Hoffmann Manufacturing Co. Ltd.,
Chelmsford,
Essex.

27th. October 1937.

For the attention of C.H.Smith, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to our letter of 26th. inst., and as mentioned during our telephone conversation of to-day, we have now decided to use your bearing R.135.LL instead of your R.135.L. Accordingly will you please cancel our request for one of the latter and send us two R.135.LL as soon as possible. An official order for these bearings will follow.

In connection with the special three new pinion bearing which you are designing for us, the writer has ascertained that the maximum diameter of the roller race may be 3.000, while the length is, within reason, not restricted.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
