R2/M29.12.21. -2- Contd. and have something ready to hand. DYNAMO. (X.4383). This, with the altered drive to avoid the trouble of lining up and crank case fumes (in the present simpler scheme) will leave the dynamo shaft the ordinary standard one of any make. Our own dynamo should be ready; we have long ago fixed up the winding which can be confirmed by reference to the C.A.V. which should be used during the next few weeks until our own is ready. X.4081. SWITCHBOX. The Derby drawing of this should be completed by now, pushing on the long-winded parts first, such as the moulding and castings. X.4410. DISTRIBUTING BOARD. I am proposing to get through this quickly adopting a substantial screw down fuse wire of copper instead of the buzzer and trusting to the smaller fuses, after the switchbox, for protection in case of shorts on everything but the switchbox, which is not very likely to get earthed. LANTERNS. These Lucas ones with internal wiring have been tried and found very suitable, smaller head lamps I understand being now more fashionable (less road hoggish). R. {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
