Re your memo EH3/LG 301117 personally I think the spring controlled anchorage is the better one to try first as it should afford such a graphical illustration of what is happening and at the same time should be the means of supplying charts of torque variation with the propeller effect superimposed thereon.
Can you try a number of obstructions up to 5 on the propeller circle (one per crank pump evenly placed) and observe the different effects produced and also vary the angular position of the obstructions to get them more or less opposed to the crank pumps.
