C O P Y From: THE EGRYPTA COMPANY a branch of J & A Hillman Ltd. Trindle Road, DUDLEY 26th April,1933 AHS/PB/ Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd Derby. Dear Sirs, Egypta Brake Linings and Clutch Rings We think you will agree that if there is one thing on a car which must be above suspicion as regards efficiency it surely is the brakes. We feel sure it is your desire to have on all standard models the maximum braking efficiency possible, and it is for this reason we ask if you would consider our "Egypta" Linings and Clutch Rings. A few technical details are enclosed, but a particular point we claim of superiority in our Ecrypta Non-Metallic Brake Linings and Clutch Rings is, that whereas competitors linings are woven solid and then impregnated, we treat the yarn separately, and then weave it up to the desired thickness. This results in much better wearing qualities. The braking is constantly the same throughout the long life of the fabric. In a solid woven fabric such as is used in brake linings which is afterwards treated, it cannot be expected that the centre will be as well treated as the outside. We would like to emphasize at this stage that our endeavour with regard to Ecrypta Brake Linings and Clutch Rings is not to put forward the cheapest lining on the market as far as price is concerned, as we know quite well there are many cheap quality linings offered.
