You have the diagram of the wiring (buzzer switch box fuse scheme) and to suit this Mr. Stent is re-arranging the distributing board and making it carry the buzzer, or magnetic cutout as well as the auto switch. The buzzer will be between the battery positive, and the positive supply wire to the switch box. The switch box will be capable of being detached (mechanically) from the instrument board and the 8 wires coming away with it should be easily detachable at the distributing board and convenient for pulling away with it, and very clearly marked for replacing. With our Goshawk scheme this is the only part that need give us any serious anxiety, while the chassis is at the coachbuilders, and if we arrange it easy to connect up and distinctly marked there should be no reason why the coachbuilder should not be able to deal with the instrument board quite safely. I feel that he must strip the instruments so as to cut and fit the board to his scuttle, and polish it in keeping with the other wood-work on the body. GOSHAWK WIRING. It will be remembered th-at for this equipment, single central contact lamps and lamp-holders will be needed. I found that some 12 V.{VIENNA} 36 W. lamps sent to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town in error, heated and softened the spring in the lamp-holder contacts, so much that the only two that were ∮ Fixed standard position of instrument board Contd. | ||
