This is to confirm our telephone conversation this afternoon that Per.111, the sports saloon, weighs approximately one hundredweight more than the first car now running in France.

The actual weights of the complete cars are :-

1 Per.11 1 ton. 7 cwts. 3 qrs.
3 Per.11 1 ton. 9 cwts. - qrs. 7 lbs.

On both Bensport and Peregrine we are going to conduct a determined weight saving campaign as soon as we have got through the 'teething' troubles of the cars. We should therefore be glad if you would get Messrs. Park Wards to make out a list of the weights of the standard types of bodies which they have produced for these cars so that we may refer to them.

We must say that your observations with regard to the sports saloon rather surprised us though we had gathered the facts from previous experience with cars such as GLR-60 Lp{Mr Lappin}'s. car.

We shall be interested to hear anything further you have managed to do with Thrupp and Maberly with regard to overcoming the difference between the two types of body.
