Messrs.Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. 12th September, 1929. Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter, reference "EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/AD," of the 10th instant, also the sample terminal studs which you were good enough to send for our inspection. The shorter stud has been in use since 1924, and even the sample which you returned to us was drilled to receive the two cross pins. We note your opinion regarding the desirability of reducing the width of the positive plate slightly, and we will of course accede with your wishes in this matter. The writer has not had the pleasure of visiting your Works for some time, and would therefore like to come over and discuss these points with you one day next week. Please select any day, other than Wednesday, which will suit your convenience for his visit. He would travel down by the train due at Derby about 8.45 a.m. Yours faithfully, THE CHLORIDE ELECTRICAL STORAGE COMPANY, LTD. [Signature] Chief Engineer. | ||
