xxx 2424. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.13/MH.{M. Huckerby} Messrs. John Marston Ltd., Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr.Dunn. 27th. January 1938. Dear Sirs, Referring to our discussion of yesterday, you will confirm the verbal cost figures which you gave the writer yesterday, in a letter to our Mr.Royce. These are briefly shown on attached sheet. We have today sent you a wire requesting the cost in scrap of cancelling the last 100 oil coolers on our present order. You will also let us have the charge for the new tubes fitted to each reconditioned cooler. Both these should be included in confirmatory letters to our Order Office. We hope that you will be able to despatch the car heater before the weekend. We would like you to put a second heater in hand immediately if possible and will send you an official order for same as soon as we hear that you can do this. We would also like a quotation for the supply of this heater in lots of 1000, since presumably you should now be in a position to estimate this. Enclosed are the prints of the oil cooler details requested by yourselves. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. P.S. We do not wish you to scrap any of the oil cooler pressings mentioned above until you receive the official cancellation of the 100 sets. | ||
