Bentley Brake Squeaks.
--------------------

In the case of Mr. Hawkins car, we had a little success in reducing the amount of squeaking by giving him a different sort of brake lining.

Encouraged by this, we obtained permission from H's to fit non-standard linings to 12 customers' cars which are suffering from bad brake squeaks. We are sending these linings to your stores; there are two different types.

When you have any fairly severe cases of brake squeaks will you please fit sets of these linings, the different types on alternate cars. In each case will you fit anti-judder parts to N. Sch. 4865, obtainable from production. We should like to try the first two of these cars when finished to see if 25-30 H.P. 35° servo cams are necessary with the different linings.

The new linings are called S.5805 and S.6611.
