I have now got the information of which I spoke from our Test Dept. and it does appear that the outputs on New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I chassis are fairly consistently higher than our specified curve. The maximum top peak output shown by these figures is 14.5 amperes in one case, the next highest being 14.0. Accordingly I am proceeding to alter it as stated, i.e. to reduce the outputs of these chassis by not less than 1 ampere, but such that the minimum actual output occurring on any car will just comply with the specified curve sent to you.

When we have carefully determined the exact change in the control brush position which is desired, so that we do not overshoot, then the change will be made on production. Our instruction to the D.O. for this will go out this week.

With regard to your coming to see us, next Monday, the 14th inst. will be quite suitable to me. Would it be possible for any or all of you to spend an evening at my house, as I would like to show you a few things.

I know you are very busy, but apparently I have not yet had an answer from you to my letter dated November 24th re H.T. batteries.

We have now received the new P & R chassis battery which I said I should get, so we should be able to have all the results which will be of interest to you ready by Monday. By the way, this battery came in with the terminal lugs, nuts and links not greased. We think it is worth while from the point of view of preserving the good condition and appearance of these, if, before these batteries are put on first charge, nuts and links are removed and properly greased, and if this is not already being done, perhaps you would arrange for it to be done as a matter of course.

Yours sincerely,

P.S. I think you have overlooked the query in my previous letter re threaded rubber separators.
Two further H.T. cells have failed to maintain the output expected of them so I would like to have the elements at your convenience.
