Dear Sirs,

We are interested in the measurement of noise inside cars. In particular we are interested in the measurement of noises of low frequency, such as arise from front suspension impacts.

We believe you make various types of noise measuring apparatus, and some of them are fitted with sensitive watt-hour instruments which give the noise value as an integrated sum. We should be very pleased if you could arrange to demonstrate this apparatus to us, preferably in a car on the road.

We are applying to the Management for a grant to buy some new apparatus and would like to include a noise meter in the list. It is, of course, essential for us to know the prices and details of what we want to buy.

Yours faithfully,
for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
