The failure of a Dixie magneto and its impact on the engine.

consecutive hours, and was really the means of finding the weakness in the Dixie magneto. It is understood that this magneto was failing long before it finally gave out, and the changing of the sparking plugs, was really brought about through the reduced electro motive force obtained by this failing magneto. A well insulated magneto would not have failed in the way, and moreover in service neither the time or the stress brings discredit to the engine, as being outside our manufacture.
