SUSPENSION EXPERIMENTS.

(1) Try an old Silver Ghost (3½ front springs)

(2) Try the New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I we tried yesterday with rear but not front shock dampers.

(3) Disregarding the spring schedules - try very weak front springs with and without shock dampers. (This, on a car which has the complaint)

(4) As an extension of this, try the weakest front and stiffest back springs to find the effect of altering the ratio of the spring ratings.

(5) As regards weight distribution :-
(a) Put weight with c.g. immediately over the front and back axles, each equivalent to the present axle load.

(b) On a luggage grid or equivalent, put weights to throw the c.c. as far backwards as possible.

In both of these, the stiffness of front springs and shock absorber effect could be varied.
