Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BJ. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ~~X8230~~ X8070 E3/M7.6.27. INDUCTION PIPES FOR REVISED PHANTOM. ~~X.8230~~ X8070 X.7230 X7070 In connection with the work on the revised aluminium Phantom, R.{Sir Henry Royce} would like you to try out certain arrangements of induction pipe manifolds, with a view to anticipating experimentally what benefits are likely to be secured or otherwise by the arrangement of ports proposed for the revised Phantom. In this design six separate inlet ports are being brought out on the steering side of the engine. Sketches are attached showing the proposed forms of manifolds. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Instructed production of these pipes to our drgs. 27.8.27. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL. | ||
