To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x1336 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} &KW.19.9.35. 6" x 16" - 6-ply India Aero Cushion Tyres. We have tested a set of the above tyres on the Bentley with very pleasing results. The test was carried out on a Bentley with fixed damper loads, and the tyre pressures set to 25 lbs/sq.in. recommended by the makers. There is a marked improvement in the ride of the car, very noticeable over the Oamaston Park Road. The steering is not affected at speed, it was thought that the joggles were slightly more noticeable, but this is a question for other opinions. The steering is slightly heavier to handle, but is comparable with the standard Bentley. We propose leaving these wheels and tyres on the car to get further experience.
