Dear Sir,

Our mutual friend, W.A. Rowbotham, has mentioned to me that you have one of the earlier 3½ litre Bentley models with standardised Saloon coachwork by Park Ward, Chassis No. B.187.AE. which has run approximately 4,000 miles, and of which you wish to dispose as you are not too satisfied with the body.

The value of these cars at the present time is, of course, high, and subject to an immediate acceptance, I am prepared to purchase the car for the sum of £1200. (Twelve hundred pounds) and give you a credit note for £100. (One hundred pounds) against a new 3½ litre Bentley complete car to be purchased by you during the next twelve months, with whatever coachwork you require.

I think that you would be very wise to accept this offer, as probably there will be certain modifications made to the chassis shortly, and I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Yours faithfully,
JACK BARCLAY LIMITED.
